Beginning and Suzuki students receive a solid foundation and inspiring environment by attending individual instruction and a group lesson each week.
The Academy offers individual instruction, small and large ensembles, performance opportunities, master classes, enrichment activities, rehearsal time with a designated pianist, special events, and career guidance and feedback for students in grades 7-12 playing at the upper intermediate and advanced levels.
PCVP supports and challenges the most advanced, serious, and gifted violinists at the Preparatory. Young artists in this program play at the advanced level and display the artistic potential to pursue a performance career in music.
Chamber music—small ensembles performing with one person to a part and without a conductor—comprises some of the most challenging, rewarding, and memorable musical experiences a student will have.
The Preparatory offers four types of orchestral experience to meet the needs of developing musicians. Ensembles perform two to three times a year and concerto competitions provide opportunities for soloists.
