Come join us this summer!
The Peabody Preparatory’s summer programming offers private lessons, music and dance classes, and programs for students of all ages and experience levels.
The Preparatory’s varied music and dance group class offerings are designed for students of all ages, skill levels, and interests. The Preparatory’s summer program offerings provide students with a chance to dig in and spend an intensive week honing their skills.
In addition to the Preparatory’s traditional music and dance training, we’ve added new courses for adults through Peabody Plus, for professionals through Peabody Pro, and for students interested in how music and dance intersect with health and wellness through Peabody Prescribe.
The Preparatory will continue with our current remote instructional model for most lessons and classes for summer, with select opportunities for in-person instruction. (Please note that the Preparatory will follow all guidance and decisions from JHU regarding in-person instruction.) Students and faculty have the option to remain entirely online for the summer semester. Please talk with your instructor regarding their plans for the Summer semester.
Enrollments continue for the Preparatory’s popular six-pack and eight-pack summer lesson packages for students of all ages beginning in June. Lessons will continue to be offered primarily online with limited in-person opportunities. For continuing students, please confirm your teacher’s availability and plans prior to completing the online inquiry form to ensure alignment in schedules. New students are welcome to join the Preparatory over the summer and are invited to complete the online inquiry form to initiate the placement process.
Due to the generosity of many individuals and charitable foundations, the Preparatory is able to offer scholarship support to a limited number of students based on exceptional ability, fulfillment of potential, teacher recommendations and financial need. Annually we award nearly $200,000 to approximately 200 students, or approximately 10% of our student body. Click on the Scholarships tab in the sidebar for more information.
Full time employees of Johns Hopkins University are eligible for tuition discounts for themselves, their spouses, and their dependents after 120 days of full time employment. Discount rates are dependent upon who is requesting the discount and the type of class.
