This page provides links to many of the Arthur Friedheim Library’s online resources, which you can access remotely using your JHED credentials.

  • Research Databases:
    JSTOR, RILM, Music Index and more.
    To explore all the databases Johns Hopkins subscribes to in music and other subject areas, visit: A-Z Databases @ Johns Hopkins Libraries.
  • Audio and Video Streaming Services: Berlin Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall, Naxos, MediciTV, and more. See Databases @ JH: Music for all of the music resources accessible through JHU subscriptions!
  • Search the catalog: Use the library catalog to find ebooks, online recordings, and digital scores. After your search, use the format option limit to “online” and then limit again by the format you’re looking for: books, scores, etc. You will be asked to log in with your JHED ID to access online resources remotely.

  • Peabody Digital Collections Online access to archival and special collections.
  • Peabody Recordings: Note: Sign on with JHED ID is still in process. Please register with your @jhu.edu email account to view performances from off-campus!
  • Course reserves are available in Canvas. To request additional materials to be digitized, please email [email protected]

Requesting Articles and Physical Items

While physical collections are unavailable, we are still accepting Interlibrary Loan requests for online articles and physical collections. Requests for items in the physical collections will be filled with digital versions where available. Some items may not be available until Friedheim Library reopens.

If you need to renew items on your account, you can do this at any time by logging into your online account
