Peabody Dance! Festival is an annual celebration of Dance in the City of Baltimore, MD and beyond. Founded in 2018 by Peabody Institute’s Conservatory Dance Program.
Our collective vision is to nurture a space where dancers, choreographers, filmmakers, teachers, and musicians can come together to celebrate and build a transformative artistic community. Our primary focus is to highlight the wealth of talent in the City of Baltimore, but our efforts also reach beyond our city limits to include artists from across Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC. Every year we are honored by the response from local and regional talent who want to share their artistry with our audiences.

AileyCamp is a fun-filled, six-week summer day camp where young people ages 11–14 learn to dance and explore their creativity. The program helps youth develop their self-confidence in an atmosphere of warmth, respect, and trust. Campers take dance classes from experienced teaching artists in popular styles such as West African, jazz, ballet, and the Lester Horton technique (which is the basis of many of Alvin Ailey’s works). Campers also participate in workshops to build leadership and communication skills, and enjoy a variety of athletic and social activities.
