Alexa Rinn is a composer, music theory teacher, and piano teacher from Winchester, Mass. Her┬ámusic has been performed in places such as┬áthe Norfolk Festival, the HighScore festival, the Eugene O’Neill National┬áPuppetry Conference, and in the National Portrait Gallery in London.┬áRinn received her Master of Music degree in composition from Peabody Institute in 2014 and graduated in 2012 from Boston UniversityÔÇÖs College of Fine Arts with a Bachelor of Music in composition and theory. While at BU, she studied with Rodney Lister, Samuel Headrick, and Ketty Nez, and┬áspent a semester abroad in 2010 at the Royal College of Music in London, England, where she studied with Alison Kay. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in composition at Peabody, where she continues to study with Michael Hersch.
