Tasha Maglocci has taught music for thirty-one years, currently at Clemens Crossing and Deep Run Elementary Schools in the Howard County Public School System, Maryland. She has served as co-director of Howard County Children’s Chorus’ Lyric Choir, as well as instructor at the Children’s Chorus of Maryland, and Loyola University with the American Kodály Institute. Maglocci was a finalist for the 2016 Howard County Music Educator of the Year, a featured Maryland Gazette’s Top Teacher, and was nominated for both the North Arundel Chamber of Commerce Teaching Award and the Anne Arundel County Teacher of the Year Award. She is currently enjoying her first year with Peabody Children’s Chorus.
Maglocci received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Masters in Music in flute performance from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. In 2001, she completed her post graduate work at Loyola University, earning all three levels in Kodály certification.
