Karla Googins recognized early on that she was uniquely positioned to not only make music, but support music makers. She was born in a small town in Western Nebraska not far from the Wyoming state line. She spent her formative years in Texas where she later earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of North Texas. Since then, she has performed at events around the globe, including President Obama’s 2013 Inaugural Ball, and shared the stage with acts like Stevie Wonder and Mary Wilson of the Supremes.
Googins was an adjunct professor of Jazz and Contemporary voice at Howard Community College and most recently was the office manager at Heritage Instructional Services serving the homeschool community and children from grades K-8.
