Join renowned Suzuki teacher trainer, William Kossler, as he guides you through certification for Suzuki Guitar Book 2. This comprehensive course blends lectures, group classes, ensembles, and masterclasses, offering a rich tapestry of experiences for trainees to observe and learn from a master Suzuki teacher.

Engage in guided discussions and lectures and delve into effective teaching strategies and key learning points for each piece in Suzuki Guitar Book 2. The hybrid format, combining online and in-person classes, ensures flexibility without compromising the depth of the learning experience.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will not only be equipped with the knowledge to successfully guide aspiring guitarists through this crucial phase of their musical development but also earn certification as Book 2 Suzuki Guitar teachers with the Suzuki Association for the Americas.

The teacher training will take place during Peabody’s Youth Guitar Week, an exciting summer camp tailored for young Suzuki guitarists. Trainees are encouraged to invite their own students to partake in this exhilarating week of learning, performing, and celebrating all things guitar!

Summer Guitar Intensive Group Classes for Suzuki Teachers

Students who register for this opportunity as part of their in person Suzuki Guitar Teacher Training (for an additional $395) may fully participate in the following daily classes:

  • Warm-up classes (9:00-9:50 am)
  • Workshops (1:00-1:50 pm)
  • Guitar Orchestra and ad-hoc sectionals (3:00-4:00 pm)
  • Final Concert (Friday at 3:00 pm)
