A Baltimore-based pianist from the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, Ramilya Saubanova brings over 23 years of experience to the world of music. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the World Vision Music International Competition and the Music Without Limits International Competition, and has been honored with prestigious scholarships such as the Presidential Scholarship of Tatarstan.
Saubanova has performed across Russia, Europe, and the United States as both a soloist and in collaboration with esteemed musicians and renowned orchestras, including the Rostov Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater Orchestra, and the Kazan Grand Brass Orchestra. Her notable appearances include concerts at the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic, the S. Saydashev State Grand Concert Hall, and the Russian and Brazilian Embassies in Washington, D.C. A passionate educator, she gives master classes in piano and chamber music, with her students achieving success in competitions. She is also an artist at the House of Music in St. Petersburg, Russia, and was inducted into the American honor society Pi Kappa Lambda in 2020.
Saubanova studied at the Kazan State Conservatory named after N. Zhiganov, and the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, earning Specialist, Master, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees.
She is the co-founder and president of Union Square Soirée, a salon concert series in Baltimore that has become a vibrant hub for musicians and art lovers. She also founded the Tatar Classical Music in the USA Project, which harmoniously combines music, history, and art to celebrate and share Tatar heritage. In collaboration with Peabody, she produced a film inspired by this project. Her debut solo CD, featuring works by Latchford, Crozier, Medtner, Yakhin, and Brahms, will be released in 2026 by Harmonicham Productions, LLP.
