To keep you informed:

This afternoon, Peabody Public Safety became aware of a carjacking that occurred on February 25th at approximately 1:30 AM in the first block of West Mount Vernon Place.  At that time, a group of suspects held the non-affiliate victim at gunpoint and stole their vehicle.  There were no injuries reported.

Suspects: Described as multiple juveniles wearing black face masks.

CRIME TIPS: If you are a crime victim, try to remember as many details about the suspect as possible.  Try to walk in groups rather than alone.  Stay in well-lit areas.  If you are a crime victim, report the incident immediately.

On 2/24/2025 at approximately 4:20 PM, a suspect attempted to take the headphones off of the head of a non-affiliate in the first block of E. Mount Vernon Place.  The victim retained the headphones and proceeded into the Peabody Institute.  The victim was not injured.

Suspect: Male, 16-19 years of age, wearing a black hoodie.
