Peabody is proud to offer a Master of Music degree in Piccolo. Founded in 2003, this was the first program of its kind in the United States, and its graduates currently hold positions in various orchestras around the nation. Additionally, former students have been successful competition winners, including first place winners in the National Flute Association’s Piccolo Artist Competitions in 2014 and 2012. Our program is in part funded by a generous donation from the Dr. James L. Meyerhoff charitable trust. This fund also makes possible master classes with visiting piccolo artists from around the globe.
