Referral Requests
LAUNCHPad refers outstanding Peabody students and alumni to perform at diverse occasions, including recitals, weddings, parties, church services, and receptions in Baltimore and Washington, DC.
Our carefully selected roster includes top-notch dancers, as well as classical and jazz musicians who work in solo and ensemble contexts. You can request specific instruments or instrument classes such as brass, guitar, harp, percussion, strings, voice, and winds.

About Our Performers

Dance
Dance is an ancient visual art which can be enjoyed at a variety of social events today. We are incredibly excited to share the work of Peabody's incredible dancers with you.
Guitar
Few instruments are more versatile and publicly known than the guitar. Our referred guitarists can perform in solo or ensemble contexts depending on your needs.
Harp
The harp is a beautiful instrument that is highly requested for parties and receptions. Harps are often paired with other instruments such as flute, violin, or voice.
Jazz
Our jazz pianists are comfortable playing for cocktail hours and other small occasions, while our jazz combos are happy to perform at restaurants, receptions, or parties.
Music for New Media
Students in this program have skills in film scoring and composing music for television shows, commercials, trailers, documentaries, and production music libraries. These students are also able to create video game soundtracks and music for virtual reality and augmented reality platforms. Percussion
Our versatile percussionists can often perform as soloists, in percussion ensembles, or in chamber groups with other instrumentalists. They provide a tasteful addition to church services, dance classes, parades, or other parties and events.
Strings
The strings, specifically the string quartet, represent our most requested type of instrument group. Strings are the deeply ingrained, go-to instruments for dinners, weddings, and many other occasions.
Voice
Our singers offer dramatic performances for events like parties, ceremonies, and religious services. While they receive classical training, many also perform musical theater, as well as pop, jazz, and folk.
Winds
Our wind players are perfect soloists and ensemble members at cocktail hours, weddings, dinners, and more. Typical groups to hire include wind quintets, saxophone quartets, flute and clarinet ensembles, and duos for flute and guitar.
