During the summer months, the Strings Department offers weekly lessons and classes as well as week-long daily intensives.

Lessons and Introductory Classes
Individual violin, viola, cello, and double bass instruction is available to children and adults of all experience levels—from beginners through the most advanced levels of study. Lessons are available in person and online, depending on the faculty schedules.
Young People's String Program group classes are not held in the summer.
Students beginning string instruction over the summer are encouraged to enroll in our small group classes Introduction to Violin (ages 5-8) and Cello Fun (ages 4-6).

Peabody Chamber Week invites enthusiastic string players in grades 5-12 to join an intensive one-week chamber music experience. This immersive program is designed to introduce young musicians to the art of chamber music and foster collaboration, creativity, and musical excellence.
