Has your child expressed an interest in trying dance classes? The Open Program is the perfect place to foster that curiosity and set them up for success in exploring what could be a new passion. This program is designed to give high quality instruction to students ages 7-15 who would like to commit to a dance class once or twice a week, without the increased time commitment of the Primary or Pre-Professional Programs. Dancers with busy schedules may benefit from shorter class sessions in this program (8 or 16 weeks vs. the full 32-week year) allowing them to maintain their dance training while also exploring other interests. Classes in this program can also be an excellent supplement to students enrolled in a leveled package, who wish to increase their training or try a different style of dance. All classes in this program may be registered for individually, with students meeting the appropriate age and experience requirements.

Teen dancers are encouraged to explore the Teen Program options as a part of the Pre-Professional Program, as well as the Open Program for Adults and Teens 16+ for additional class opportunities.

Students will be encouraged to work within a safe range of motion for their bodies, focusing on core stability, turnout, coordination, and control to execute classical movement sequences. This class is an opportunity for students to discover the joy of ballet, while feeling inspired and building confidence in themselves as a mover!
