Preparatory Summer Dance

The Peabody Preparatory's exceptional Summer Dance programs offer a full range of instruction taught by Preparatory Dance's outstanding faculty and notable guest artists. They are designed to accommodate all students ages 3 to adult who wish to continue their dance training with concentrated study during the summer months - from complete beginners to professional-level aspirants.

AileyCamp Baltimore represents a vital continuation of Alvin Ailey’s vision, using the power of dance to enrich and positively alter the lives of children. This camp is an innovative summer program for middle school students combines dance, creative writing, personal development, and communications, to help students develop a respect for themselves and others that meaningfully impacts their lives.

Peabody Movement Lab

A celebration of movement and inquiry, work closely with Peabody BFA dance faculty and discover the program’s rich and diverse offerings. Movement practices include African Expressions, Countertechnique, Functional Awareness® movement practice, Ballet, and more.

  • Beginning students ages 4, 5, and 7-adult do not need to take a placement class. 
  • 7 year-olds, including those with up to 5 years of previous training, will enter the beginning level in ballet or contemporary dance.
