Singing high quality music in a community chorus like ours can change a child’s life. According to findings from the 2009 Chorus Impact Study, commissioned by Chorus America, children who sing in choruses get significantly better grades than their counterparts who never have sung in a choir. In addition, the survey supports the idea that young choral singers have better self-confidence, self-discipline, and memory. Perhaps most compelling of all, they have the opportunity to work with their peers to create something truly beautiful and uplifting.
