Student Information System (SIS) is Johns Hopkins’ first university-wide, web-based student information system. Students will use SIS for Billing and Registration, but Net Partner is used as a financial aid system. All students will access Net Partner through their SIS accounts.

If you are a prospective student, no financial aid information will be available until after you receive your acceptance message from the Admissions Office. After that, you can use any web-browser to get 24/7 access to your financial aid. Click here for instructions on accessing SIS.

If you are a current student or graduate, you can use any web-browser to get 24/7 access to information about your financial aid, your class schedule, your grades, and your student account. Login to SIS at https://sis.jhu.edu/sswf/ with your JHED ID and JHED password.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an SIS ID?

The Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University is committed to safeguarding the privacy of students and their personal information. In an ongoing effort to eliminate Social Security Numbers from correspondence, all prospective and current students are assigned an SIS ID. The Office of Financial Aid will use your SIS ID to communicate with you. The SIS ID will also be used to authenticate prospective students who are new to online services. Current Peabody students will use their JHED LID and JHED Password to access SIS.

How do I obtain my SIS ID?

SIS IDs are e-mailed to prospective students upon acceptance to Peabody.

Returning students access SIS using their JHED LID.

What if I’ve lost my SIS ID?

Request support through SEAM’s online form , with the subject line “SIS ID”. Provide the following data in the body of the email:

  • Your full name
  • Your date of birth
  • Your permanent address
  • Your projected degree and major

Once we have confirmed your identity, we will send your SIS ID to the preferred email address that we have on file.

May I register for classes or pay my bill?

Yes. Current students can register for classes, print schedules and pay bills. These extra services become available shortly after a student decides to attend Peabody.

Why can’t I access my financial aid awards?

Prospective student financial aid awards are not available online until after admission decision letters have been mailed. Returning Undergraduate and Graduate student awards are made available online in late June.

How do I find out if you received my forms?

Login to SIS and click on the Financial Aid > Summary tab.  Students with no prior SIS account will be taken directly to Net Partner.  Students with an existing SIS account will see:

Award Year 20XX-20XX
Is available via NetPartner
Continue to NetPartner Financial Aid

and should click on Continue to NetPartner Financial Aid.

In Net Partner click on the To Do List tab. Required documents will be listed with their current statuses.

How do I view, accept or decline my financial aid?

Login to SIS and click on the Financial Aid > Summary tab.  Students with no prior SIS account will be taken directly to Net Partner.  Students with an existing SIS account will see:

Award Year 20XX-20XX
Is available via NetPartner
Continue to NetPartner Financial Aid

and should click on Continue to NetPartner Financial Aid.

In Net Partner click on the View Awards tab to view your aid, or the Accept Awards tab to accept or decline your aid. You must accept or decline all awards at one time. Partial acceptance or declination of awards is not permitted in Net Partner. If you wish to decrease the amount of your loan(s), you may decrease the amount but must do so before accepting the loan. After you have accepted the loan, if you decide you want to borrow less in a loan program, you must complete the Financial Aid Loan Adjustment form through your SIS self-service portal.

NOTE: Federal Work Study and Graduate Assistantship Earnings are NEVER credited to your student account, as the amounts listed represent potential earnings for a given semester. Students with these types of awards receive regular payroll checks from the Peabody Business Office.

What is a JHED LID and how do I get one?

A JHED login ID (or “LID”) is a unique identifier for your information in the JHU Enterprise Directory. All students are automatically assigned a LID upon enrollment. You can use your LID to gain remote access to a number of JHU services, such as financial aid, billing and registration. It should not be confused with any barcodes on your various ID cards. If you don’t know your login ID, please go to the JHED site at http://jhed.jhu.edu to look yourself up by name and do a “first-time login” to obtain a password.
