  2. Program order will be assigned taking into consideration stylistic and technical needs.
  3. All entries must be made online by the instructor of the entrant. Entries cannot be accepted via email, phone, or verbal request. Should your student need to cancel their confirmed reservation, please notify Victoria Ritter as soon as possible.

Video Submission Rules

(Only applicable if submitting video)

Performance video submissions are encouraged this semester to assure the clearest sound quality possible. However, for those who are unable or do not wish to record their performance, the option is available to perform live during the zoom recital. Performers choosing the live option must be comfortable with Zoom settings (mute/unmute, camera, etc.).

Below are general rules when submitting a video.

  • Only one video can be submitted per contestant. If you are performing multiple pieces, they must all be recorded on the same video or edited into a single video.
  • Private instructors should review the student’s video prior to submission.
  • Performance’s backgrounds should be of a neutral setting.
  • Dress attire should be appropriate for a recital.
  • The submitted video file must be labeled with the performer’s first name and last name followed by their instrument/vocal part. (Example: John Smith, piano)
  • Video files will be accepted in the following formats: AVI, WMV, MOV, MP4.
  • All submissions must be recorded between January 25 April 25. Pre-recorded performances (such as recital performance videos) will not be accepted.
  • Accompaniment is optional.

Eligibility and Repertoire

  1. All current students aged 19 and older who are currently enrolled at the Preparatory are eligible to perform.
  2. Each student or group is free to choose any literature at the intermediate level and higher.
  3. Accompaniment is entirely optional, even for pieces that include it.
  4. In order to accommodate as many students as possible, performance length can be no longer than 7 minutes.
