All entering, new students are required to provide proof of immunization to JHU’s Primary Care. If you have not completed this form, it is important you submit it as soon as possible so you can avoid a hold on your registration. If the form was completed improperly or if your immunizations are out of date, you will not be permitted to move into your residence hall (if applicable) or register for classes. We encourage you to make and keep a copy of this form for your records.
Your health form must be reviewed and cleared by JHU’s Primary Care no later than July 15 to avoid any delays in registration or move-in.
It is University policy that all full-time students maintain adequate health insurance coverage to provide protection against unexpected accidents and illnesses.
Full-time students will be automatically enrolled in the University-sponsored Student Health Benefits Plan but do have the option to waive out of this plan if they can demonstrate that they have private health insurance coverage comparable to the University’s plan. Waivers can be submitted through your SIS account, and must be received no later than September 15 of each year. Waivers must be completed every year. Once we have confirmed that you have adequate health insurance coverage, the charges will be removed or refunded.
NOTE: International students with an F-1 or J-1 Visa status are required to have JHU-sponsored health insurance and are not eligible to waive out of this plan.
JHU also offers voluntary dental and vision insurance for you and your dependents.
