The Peabody Institute will continue to present performances this coming Fall semester, in the form of virtual broadcasts. All information below is subject to change.
A bi-monthly faculty performance series will be presented to the public via livestream broadcast on the Institute’s website and YouTube page. Performances will be selected from proposal submissions and will be supported by staff. All of the At Home series broadcasts will be pre-recorded, with final editing completed by staff.
Departmental recitals will be presented as pre-recorded broadcasts to the public via livestream broadcasts on the Institute’s website and YouTube page. Departmental recitals will be selected from proposal submissions and will receive limited support from staff. All departmental recitals will be pre-recorded with final editing assistance from staff. Support levels will be determined on a case by case basis, in discussion with faculty.
Students will have the opportunity to present a virtual degree recital to fulfill their degree recital requirements in the Fall 2020 semester. Students will be paired with a recording arts tech who will work with the students on optimal camera and mic placements and walk them through the steps of hosting a virtual recital.
Recitals will be hosted on the Zoom platform and archived in Aviary for grading purposes.
