His musical lineage is further enriched by his mentorship under the legendary violinist Erick Friedman, a direct disciple of the iconic Jascha Heifetz.
Tseng’s illustrious career is marked by numerous top prizes at both national and international competitions. In 1990, he received the prestigious award for the Best Interpretation of a New Composition at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow, and in 1993, he was awarded the Silver Medal at the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition in Belgium. His other honors include top prizes at the North Carolina Symphony Artist Competition, the Washington International String Competition, and many more.
As a soloist and recitalist, Tseng has captivated audiences across the Americas, Europe, and Asia with his expressive performances and technical brilliance. He has collaborated with esteemed orchestras, including the National Orchestra of Belgium, the Noordholland Philharmonic, the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the Simon Bolivar Orquesta Sinfonica, Suwon Philharmonic in South Korea, Xiamen Philharmonic in China, the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Taipei Symphony Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra in Taiwan, to name a few.
