Ahlam Musa has over two decades of experience teaching English and Arabic across a range of educational settings, including universities and K-12 schools in both the U.S. and internationally. She holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Second Language Education from Texas A&M University and remains committed to ongoing professional growth. Ahlam has taught courses in ESL, linguistics, and teacher education, and has held leadership roles in the administration of ESL programs for both adults and children. She has also served as an academic coordinator for EFL teachers in international training programs and consulted on culturally and linguistically oriented projects funded by the World Bank.
Her research interests encompass heritage language maintenance, diglossia, second language assessment, and teacher education. Passionate about fostering cross-cultural understanding, Ahlam actively promotes these values in both her professional work and personal life, instilling them in her four children as well as in the diverse communities she engages with.
