Chair danah bella, whose namesake modern dance company focuses on reclaiming evocative movement as social practice, performs an original work. Associate Professor Diedre Dawkins, a former member of Ronald K. Brown /Evidence Dance Company in New York, performs a piece by Brown. Assistant Professor Kelly Hirina, who performed for 20 years in Amsterdam with companies such as ICKamsterdam and Dansgroep Amsterdam, and her thirteen steps dance company makes its regional debut an original work created in collaboration with and featuring students Leah Logsdon and Reilly Sheriff. And Assistant Professor Christopher Pennix, who has danced principal roles at the Kennedy Center with Washington National Opera and is the ballet master and choreographer at the Greater Annapolis Ballet, performs an original work and a dance piece by student Sophia Perone.
