Immerse yourself in the art of music creation at Baltimore Beat Lab, a week-long summer program designed to transform you into a skilled producer, no matter your experience level. Under the guidance of industry pros and using cutting-edge Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) dive into a world of contemporary sounds, from hip hop and indie to electronic and club music. Collaborate with peers, learn from industry experts, and push your creative boundaries in the heart of Baltimore’s rich musical heritage.
Culminate your Baltimore Beat Lab experience by participating in the epic Beat Battle Showdown, a chance to share your creations with the world and compete for the ultimate bragging rights.
Baltimore Beat Lab offers instruction in 3 levels:
- Beginner Level: For students without prior experience, we’ll guide you from looping basics to full beat creation, even offering access to BandLab, a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
- Intermediate Level: For students with some prior production experience and DAW knowledge. We further your skills and offer explorations in advanced recording and creative production techniques.
- Advanced Level: For students comfortable with beat creation and some recording experience. Refine your skills and push creative limits. Master more creative production techniques and learn advanced collaboration strategies to take your music to the next level.
