Ages 13 and up
Six weeks of online instruction

Tuesday, June 23 – Thursday, July 30, 2020

Open Program classes in ballet are offered at multiple levels for teens and adults who love to dance and want to keep in shape: from the student with years of serious training to the complete beginner who is eager to get started. New teen/adult students with previous dance training must complete a placement class to determine an appropriate level. Students with no formal training may enter the Beginners/Level 1 Ballet class and the Contemporary Dance class without attending a placement class. Current Preparatory Dance students should consult their teacher regarding class placement for the summer. Please contact the Preparatory Dance Office at prepdance@jhu.edu or 667-208-6648 for more information regarding placement.

Registration is for the complete 6-week session. Class cards are also available for those who wish to take more than one dance form, or to register for fewer than six weeks.

Class times, levels, and instructors are subject to change. Tuition is listed for the complete 6-week session. 5 and 10 class cards also available. All classes require a minimum of eight students.

Once you’re ready to register for classes, please visit our registration page.

Dance Class Cards

Dance class cards are available for Open Program students ages 13-adult. Cards can be used to sample any or all of the dance forms – or to take one class as your schedule permits. Class cards are purchased online through ASAP. While the Peabody campus is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not issuing paper cards. Attendance is taken online. Class cards expire at the end of the session; unused classes cannot be carried over to the next semester.
