Patrick Sise is a graduate of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University where he received his bachelors and masters degrees in guitar performance and pedagogy under the tutelage of Julian Gray. He has performed at a wide variety of venues throughout the northeast region, including solo and chamber recitals at the Peabody Institute, the Guitar Foundation of America’s regional symposium, the Lehigh Valley Classical Guitar Festival, and at many concert halls, churches, retirement homes, and hospitals. Sise is a guitarist for Classical Guitar Ceremonies, Inc., and more recently, he has been an active member of two bands playing electric guitar and singing back-up vocals performing all around the Baltimore region. A recent notable performance includes opening for Sebastian Bach from Skid Row in July 2015 at Rams Head Live. Along with solo, chamber, and band concerts, he is currently concertizing with his guitar duo partner Mark Edwards, fellow Peabody alum and renowned guitarist.
Sise is the professor of guitar for Frostburg State University’s Music Department. He is a guitar instructor at Bel Air Music Studios, Oldfields School, Guitar Center, and runs a private studio. A native of Richmond Virginia, he started playing the guitar when he moved to Elkton, Maryland at the age of eleven, and received his Associates of Arts degree in music/guitar from Cecil College in 2006.
Other than arranging, performing, teaching, recording, and composing music, Sise is an active runner, soccer player, and athlete. He enjoys reading, film, friends, volunteering, and making others laugh.
