You might have come to Peabody for the arts education, but it’s everything surrounding that—the leadership experiences you’ll build in student organizations, the life skills you gain from living with others from across the world in residence halls, and the creative outlets that you’ll pursue—that will really shape your experience here.

Student Life at Peabody aims to cultivate an inclusive and healthy community that fosters growth, exploration, and engagement. We oversee student involvement, campus programming, diversity initiatives, student disability services, and housing and dining services. In fact, if it’s not happening in a classroom, there’s a good chance we might be involved:

• Our Counseling Center and Student Health and Wellness Center tend to your mind and body.
• We provide opportunities for leadership development, resources for our Multicultural and LGBTQ communities and supporters, and organize Orientation, among many other things.
• Our case manager provides support and assistance, including interventions, advocacy, referrals and follow-up services for students who are experiencing significant difficulties.
• We also help enforce campus judicial policies, including ones covering sexual violence, academic misconduct, and others.

The mission of the Office of Student Affairs is to empower students to achieve their personal, artistic and professional aspirations. Through collaborative partnerships, Student Affairs offers services, programs and resources that promote a student’s life-long growth, wellness, and development within a safe and nurturing environment.  Our goal is to provide learning opportunities that embrace diversity, individual responsibility and a sense of local and global citizenship.  The office also serves as the primary point of contact for students with temporary or permanent disabilities to ensure that disabled students have an equal opportunity to participate and enjoy the benefits of the school’s programs, services and activities.
