Description

Peabody Arts in Health Performances provide ensemble-based music programs for the hospital community, organized in partnership with Johns Hopkins Hospital and other Baltimore-based healthcare facilities. Past opportunities have included commemorative events as well as a Live@Lunchtime concert series with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Program in the Arts, Humanities, & Health.

Performers will receive mentorship in program design aimed at those who visit, work, and are cared for at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Proposed programs will be reviewed by Peabody’s Arts in Health Program Manager and hospital partners for suitable fit. Musicians will be expected to program appropriately for this diverse audience and to introduce themselves and their music in a warm and engaging manner. For a start on repertoire ideas, see Guidelines for Musicians.

Musicians receive a payment of $250/person per performance.
