Monica Dale (MM Ithaca College, BA Connecticut College, Dalcroze License) has worked professionally as both a dancer and a musician. She has choreographed, performed, and taught piano, dance and Dalcroze Eurhythmics to students from pre-school through professional levels.
Dale developed an original curriculum merging music, dance and language. Since founding MusiKinesis®, she has published six books including the three-volume Eurhythmics for Young Children and an iBook of illustrated dance stories with original music.
As a clinician, Dale has presented sessions at the national conferences of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, Early Childhood Music and Movement Association, Music Teachers National Association, Dalcroze Society of America, Society of Dance History Scholars, National Dance Education Organization, Music Educators National Conference (NafME), and others.
Dale has taught for decades at Kennedy Center’s Summer Music Institute and Eastman School of Music’s Summer Session, and she co-founded the Institute for Jaques-Dalcroze Education.
