The check-in process is important, even for current Peabody students. If you do not check in, we may mistake you for a “no-show” and re-assign your audition time to someone else. Please plan to be on site at least an hour early to check-in and warm-up. We do not recommend showing up more than two hours prior to any audition or interview. 

Check-in

Applicants will be required to check-in upon their arrival. When you arrive, please report to one of the following entrances:

Check-in and information tables will be centrally located in Peabody’s Arcade. The Arcade is accessible from the front entrance as well as through the Peabody garage. Admissions staff and volunteers will be available to assist you between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm.

Canceling or Rescheduling Your Audition

No-shows can cause major issues on audition day, while scheduling constraints and the vastly different set up requirements for each major make arranging auditions a challenge. If you must cancel or you have a mandatory conflict, please notify us as soon as possible by email or phone (667-208-6600). This is essential for creating a smooth and pleasant audition experience for everyone. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate all rescheduling requests.

Warm-up

Practice rooms will be available throughout campus to our visitors during Audition Week. A list of recommended practice rooms throughout campus will be available to our visitors during audition week. Your check-in packet will instruct you where to go. Applicants will have 45 minute blocks of priority practice room use prior to their audition time. Volunteers will be available to assist visitors in finding room to practice. We have asked you to prepare much more music than you can perform in the time allotted for your audition, so expect the faculty to ask for excerpts from your audition repertoire.
