Violist Jaclyn Dorr completed a Master of Music degree in viola performance and violin/viola pedagogy at the Peabody Conservatory, where she was teaching assistant to Victoria Chiang. Dorr was first prize winner of the 2009 Gee Viola Competition, a recipient of the Richard Franko Goldman prize in performance and a fellowship violist at the Aspen Music Festival. Dorr has had the privilege of working with distinguished violists from around the world, including Nobuko Imai, Kim Kashkashian, Masao Kawasaki, Roberto Diaz, Heidi Castleman, Atar Arad, Mischa Amory, Jutta Puchhamer-Sedillo, Stephen Wyrczynski, among others.

Dorr is currently on the faculty of the Peabody Preparatory where she teaches violin and viola. She is also a site coordinator for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra OrchKids program. In her free time, Dorr is developing a scale pedagogy book that focuses on creative scale practice while emphasizing left hand frame. An avid contemporary music performer, Jaclyn is a founding member of the SONAR New Music Ensemble. She has also collaborated on concerts with members of Alarm Will Sound and has performed on the Evolution and Cafe MoMus Contemporary Music series.
