|09/22/2015 - Open Call for Community Roles in Peabody Opera Theatre’s Street Scene
Peabody Opera Theatre invites members of the Baltimore community to audition for speaking roles in its November production of Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. No stage or singing experience is necessary but a strong speaking voice will be preferred.
|09/16/2015 - “Searing” New Opera Receives Its Baltimore Premiere at Peabody
The second production of Peabody faculty composer Michael Hersch’s monodrama On the Threshold of Winter will take place on Saturday, October 3, at Peabody. His first operatic work depicts a single character struggling with her final weeks of cancer.

Pulitzer-Prize winning composer and Peabody Conservatory faculty artist Kevin Puts will be featured on a new recording by the Peabody Symphony Orchestra and conductor Marin Alsop, music director of the BSO and a member of Peabody’s conducting faculty.

The Peabody Opera Theatre returns to the Patricia & Arthur Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric for two performances of Mozart’s first great hit comedy, Die Entführung aus dem Serail on Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8.
