10/30/2014 - Peabody Conservatory to Offer DMA Fellowships Beginning Fall 2015
The Peabody Conservatory will offer new fellowships to Doctor of Musical Arts students starting fall of 2015. The Dean’s DMA Fellowships will be awarded to up to three new DMA students who demonstrate excellence in both academics and musical performance.
10/20/2014 - Acclaimed Cellist Zuill Bailey Performs With Peabody Symphony Orchestra
Peabody alumnus Zuill Bailey will be the soloist with the Peabody Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, October 25, at 8:00 pm. The Society of Peabody Alumni will present Bailey with the Johns Hopkins University Distinguished Alumnus Award at this concert.

An October 21 symposium at the Peabody Institute will bring together national leaders in the music world to discuss the trends shaping the industry and the important role conservatories play in the future of classical music.

The Peabody Institute’s 2014-2015 concert season opens on September 27 and continues on September 30 with two concerts which, taken together, display the diversity of talent and repertoire that will mark the season.
08/28/2014 - September 4 Ribbon-Cutting Opens New Performance Space At Peabody
The new Centre Street Performance Studio opens at the Peabody Institute on September 4, 2014, beginning at 2:00 pm. The Studio was created as a venue where students can get hands-on experience producing and promoting their own programming ideas.
06/04/2014 - Peabody Orchestras Earn ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming
The Peabody Symphony, Concert, and Modern Orchestras are among the 27 American orchestras to be honored with 2013-2014 ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming, announced at the League of American Orchestras National Conference in Seattle, Washington.
05/13/2014 - Violist Kim Kashkashian to Receive Peabody Medal at Commencement, May 22
Peabody alumna Kim Kashkashian will be the 2014 recipient of the George Peabody Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Music in America. The medal will be presented on May 22, where she will be the commencement speaker at Peabody's graduation.
05/12/2014 - Leon Fleisher Studio Scholarship Fund Established
Baltimore philanthropists Robert E. Meyerhoff and Rheda Becker have donated $1 million to establish the Leon Fleisher Studio Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarships to piano students of renowned pianist and Peabody faculty artist Leon Fleisher.
