Federal Pell Grant (PELL)

The Federal Pell Grant program provides grants to students pursuing a first undergraduate degree. Pell Grants are awarded to students who meet strict eligibility requirements and who demonstrate exceptionally high financial need. Students must submit the FAFSA to determine Pell Grant eligibility.

Using Federal Financial Aid to Purchase Books and Supplies

If your financial aid file is complete (all documents and outstanding requirements were submitted and processed) and you are entitled to a refund of excess federal student aid funds, you should receive your refund in time to buy required books and supplies during the first week of the semester. To ensure timely receipt of your refund, be sure to contact the Peabody Business Office about how to receive your refund.  If your refund is delayed, contact the Peabody Financial Aid Office about obtaining an emergency loan to purchase required books and supplies.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

The Federal SEOG program provides funds to students who demonstrate exceptional financial need. When awarding FSEOG, the Financial Aid Office gives award priority to Pell grant recipients first. FSEOG awards range from $400 to $3,000 and are subject to the availability of funds.
