Admission to the Joint Degree program requires measures of assessment beyond the admission procedures for standard undergraduate admission. Peabody students who have matriculated to the BM program will apply for the joint degree in their second semester of study. In addition to their interview and audition, potential students will need to demonstrate a strong command of the English language and a grade point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants for the joint degree should also be capable of articulating why the Joint Degree program will have meaning for their music educational and performance contexts. Final admission decisions are made by a committee of faculty from both campuses.

Peabody students admitted to the Joint Degree program will remain Peabody students during the three semesters in which they study abroad, and all Peabody financial aid and scholarship will continue during their semesters in Singapore. Students are exempted from paying tuition and fees to the partner institution. Peabody may provide support for airfare and related expenses incurred by students traveling to Singapore if available and merited.

In addition to their interview and audition, potential students will need to demonstrate a strong command of the English language, carry a G.P.A. of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, receive written approval from their major teacher, and write a 1-2 page essay articulating how the Joint Degree Program will add meaning to their music education and performance goals. Final admission decisions are made by a committee of faculty from both campuses.

Of eight total semesters of undergraduate study, Peabody students spend three semesters at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
